I was told that in the Expedition 2004 you can push the belt release button when the chime is going off and that stops it until the door is opened the engine is turned off. Good Luck
Does your underhood light come on ? Or if you have the key in the ignition and your drivers door open , do you hear the warning chime ? If not , it sounds like a poor battery cable connection or a dead battery .
Don't do it! There are possibly other circuits connected to the junction terminal where the chime is powered from. You could lose dash and/or tail lights.
You can not disable it. You have to fix whatever is causing it to go off.
I bet you would be more concerned if it didnt chime
The only thing I could find in the 2004 owner's manual is a 10 amp fuse in location # 6 for key in - chime in the fuse panel under the dash on the driver's side.
To disable the seat belt warning system; you must follow the procedure listed under safety restraints. It is on page 88-91 in my manual and involves a whole list of things you have to do while the ignition system is turned to the on position but without the car running.
