I am trying to repair the OS from the boot disc when I hit R for repair it ask for the administrator password which I dont know how do I get around this so I can copy the needed files for repair?
you need the password. if you nkow what files you need, you may be able to take the drive out and put into another computer as a secondary drive and look over into it from that main drive, and copy the files you need to save. then re-install the os. i don't know if that will work but it may be worth a try if you dont have a better option. somebody else may know how to get around the password. if this is a home computer, you might try the obvious password, which is administrator. good luck.
