2. set gear shift in P or N
3. ignition is in the off position
4. all doors closed
5. lights are off
To reactivate do as follows:
1.Turn ignition to the on(run) position.
2. Wait for the safety belt warning light to go off.(1-2 minutes)
Steps 3-5 must be completed within 60 seconds or you will have to repeat the procedure.
3. Buckle and unbuckle the belt three times, third time leaving the belt unbuckled.
4. Turn on the head lights, turn off head lights.
5. Buckle and unbuckle the belt three times, third time leaving the belt unbuckled.
After step five the belt warning light will go on for 3 seconds.
6. Within 7 seconds of the light going off, buckle and unbuckle the belt.
7. Confirmation of enabling the belt minder is provided by the belt warning light flashing 4 times per second for 3 seconds.
Procedure is complete.
This procedure will also deactivate the belt minder if you chose to do so.
