the dealercan turn them off with a scan tool
How do you disable the automatic door locks toyota 4runner 2013, with keyless system.
The dealer can turn it off with a scan tool.
bad ground on chassis. do the lights seem dim when you apply the brakes?
This process can be complicated, but it is listed in your owner's manual. It would be easier if you had someone to read the instructions to you while you do it.
To disable it or put it on again . Turn ignition key on and off 4 times
all you can do is pull out the fuse for the power locks and lock the doors yourself
Remove the power locks and windows fuse you will loose power for your windows also
The power door locks on a Dodge Caravan can stop working if the fuse is bad. Check the power door lock relay fuse that is located in the engine compartment on most Dodge Caravans. It should be next to the battery.
Remove the fuse.
The automatic door locks on a Dodge Intrepid won't work if the fuse or switch are bad. These two components should be checked first to narrow down the cause.
Your owners manual should instruct you on how to do this.
Open the fuse box, find the right fuse and pull it out
All fuses are under the hood, next to the battery.
You can disable the lock switches on all the doors. Take the two screws out, slide the spring over and disconnect the switch.
Look on the inside of your drivers side door, there should be a latch which you can disable. Lis@
you have your wires routed wrong
My first suggestion is to have the Body Computer (BCM) checked for codes. Chrysler has released a software update for the bcm that the dealer can perform that fixes a lot of lock complaints on 2005 vans.
The lock need to be changed
We have a 2000 Montana and yes it does have automatic door locks.
Your dealer can reprogram the locks for you or you can find someone with a VAGCOM. Google search it and you'll find someone local.
What you probably need to do is to check you battery because i have a dodge 2004 also and my locks did the same thing so i just replaced my battery and the locks started working again.
Check the owners manual in the section where it describes the automatic locks. For example, in the 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 users manual it indicates the automatic locks can be disabled by turning the ignition key on/off 4 times (do not start the vehicle), leave the ignition in the on position and move the lock switch in the unlock direction. You will hear an audible beep that indicates the automatic lock function has been disabled. To re-enable automatic locking, repeat the previous procedure. If you cannot find information in the owner's manual, call your local dealership for instructions. In many cases it is possible to reprogram car and truck functions without visiting the dealer.
The relay for the locks is usually located in the fuse panel (usually lower left of the steering wheel) and is one of the larger rectangular boxes plugged into the fuse panel.
It controls most of the interior electronics such as lights, wipers, locks, theft alarm, etc.
