There is a wire which connects the power to the antenna. The wire is located under the hood right near the back of the fender hump on the passengers side. If you look you will see where it goes down insdie the fender to the antenna power unit. Just unplag the connector and you are good to go. vbdenny
Check your RPO codes. If it has an U75 than it had a power antenna. If it has RPO code US6 it has a painted fixed antenna. There was only one style power antenna used from the factory.

Thankfully mine just died in the up position. Replacing them is a bear. 1. Turn the steering wheel to the far left position. 2. Disconnect the negative cable from your battery. 3. Remove the right inner fender splash shield (4 plastic studs, 3 screws) 4. Remove Phillips head screw retaining the antenna to the fender 5. Disconnect antenna lead and motor wires 6. Remove the two bolts from the lower bracket 7. Carefully pull the antenna and wiring assembly doen through the wheel opening

If they are both Chevy V8 cars it will bolt up.
What parts??? Body, engine, suspension???
If the antenna is in the up position, you have 2 options, replace the entire assembly, or unplug it. In the trunk under the antenna, you will find a set of 3 wires going into a relay. Unplug those, and the motor will turn off.
In the trunk on left (driver) side between power antenna and left speaker.
