Disconnect all power sources to your existing thermostat. Remove the cover. Locate wire connecting thermostat and heater. Not the terminal designations. Disconnect wiring to heater. Remove old thermostat from wall. Drill holes for mounting new thermostat. Connect wires. Attach subbase of new thermostat to wall. Connect wires, matching labels. Attach thermostat to subbase.

Disconnect power to geyser and remove the thermostat. Turn heat selector to maximum and with the thermostat removed from the geyser and electrical wiring, test for continuity between the input and output sides of the (L)ive side. If there is continuity the thermostat is ok and the fault may then lie with the element.

If the climate control is not working on a Mondeo the fuses should be checked. If the fuses are found to be working then the wiring feeds should be looked at.
remove steering column cover, disconnect wiring connector from switch, remove retaining screw from back of switch, remove switch. that is not enough
