I just replaced mine on a 2000 L series. If it is the same, you need to remove the cover on the engine block(I think that's waht its called) inside you'll see four holes. Inside are the plugs. I used a 5/8 spark plug socket. Remove and replace. Pretty simple I thought. It cost me about 25.00 for Bosch plat. plugs.
