Just the same way you would treat your home for lice....wash all bedding in hot water, vacuum furniture and floors and throw out the vacuum bag.....take anything that comes in contact with the cat such as litter box, bedding, brushes, toys, etc. and clean with water mixed with bleach, steam clean your carpet, sanitize any surfaces the kittens may have touched, clean heating vents and change furnace filters at least once a week for a while. Make sure the kitten has seen the vet and been pronounced clear of any further ringworm infestation and do the house cleaning with bleach for several days. Ringworm is a fungus not a worm, so if you and your children may want to see your doctor about anti-fungal creams to be on the safe side.
