it is very time consuming but relatively easy. first it depends upon what part you are wanting to get to.

FIRST OF ALL BEFORE YOU TOUCH A SINGLE THING IN CAB__DISCONNECT THE BATTERY IT WILL SAVE YOU BEING SHOCKED AND POSSIBLE REPAIRS DUE TO SHORT CIRCUITS!!!!!

to disassemble the gauges area you will need to remove the hex screws on the front cover. pull cover up and out gently. disconnect headlight controls from cover (just push them out... note some may be connected to the cover by crews). once cover is off you have direct access to the air condition and stereo controllers. to remove the gauges you need to look closely at the gauges the way the makers did them is one end would go in to groves and the other would be screwed down. for example on 1992 ext the gauges are up in groves on the top and a single screw holds the bottom on. unscrew the screw then GENTLY pull the gauges out then down then they are free all you need to do is disconnect the wire harness and further work can be done.

***(further dismantlement is complicated and sometimes requires special tools)***

to disassemble the glove box side look at the middle of the dash dependent upon options chosen there will be a cassette player or a storage spot. in that area there will be a A/C vent as well that is a plate pretty much it covers the out side of the storage and holds the vent fins. go to the bottom of the cover get a flat head screw driver and GENTLY pry the cover off of the dash it is connected by four pins. once the bottom is free all you need to do is remove the top just like the bottom. once that is removed the storage area or cassette player is fully accessible also the glove box cover will come off now the cover for the cassette player/vents is part of its henge. once the glove box lid is hanging by its cables you just take a flat head screwdriver and pull them out. once the pins of the cables are removed you can remove the glove box container. behind the glove box is all of the relays for the A/C.

if something large like the AC/Heater blower needs to be replaced take it to a shop to replace it. you have to completely remove the dash to get to in on the firewall. and for how hard it is to remove and reassemble the dash it is worth the money to have it done right ***(with a guaranty of there work)***

i hope i have helped you
