I was a Tech for gilbraltar pools for years. The age of the pool is a big factor.
There extremely well built pools, if it has the Aluminum plank decking, then
issue's are greatly reduced. This is not a project for a week-end warrior, in
most cases I suggest a proffessional, but if you really want to save, atleast
hire an experienced tech to talk you through it. Gilbraltar pools in Topsfield,
Mass. is a #1 outfit, call for guidance, there phones are very busy, but well worth
a little patience.
