In a social care setting, key food safety standards include staff training in food hygiene, maintaining personal hygiene, safe food storage and preparation, allergen management, proper food serving practices, meeting dietary restrictions, traceability of food sources, regular cleaning and sanitizing, maintaining food safety records, complying with regulations, and promptly reporting and responding to food safety incidents. These standards are crucial to safeguard the health and well-being of vulnerable individuals in such environments, ensuring that food is prepared, stored, and served safely to prevent foodborne illnesses and contamination.
