Take off the drain plug and let the oil drain. Replace the plug washer if needed. While the oil is draining, you can either take off the whole splash shield or just the little cover. The cover is just two bolts, but getting a hold on the oil filter is a little tricky and when it drains, it is messy. To take the shield down, the two bolts on the back ore in slotted holes, so you can just loosen them a couple turns. The bolts at the front are under the bumper. There are two round plugs in the underside of the bumper, take those out and the bolts are behind them. The other 4 bolts are right behind the bumper through the shield. When all the bolts are out, pull the shield forward then down. The filter is there behind the shield. Put the new filter on and put the shield back. Tighten the drain plug and refill the oil. It takes 5.5 qts of oil.
