Drive car for at least 5 mins then return to your home.
Crawl under the front of the car underneath you will find drain plug = 20mm socket/spanner. This looks like a head of a bolt. Turn it anti-clockwise (put cat tray/oil tray underneath as once slackened oil will pour from it. Open bonnet withdraw dip stick and undo oil filler cap to allow Newtons Law to do its bit(gravity).
You need now to undo oil filter (a big "coca cola type" article near to the drain plug). This needs to turn anti clockwise. This can be done by striking gently, with a screwdriver and hammer at the base of the filter/Coca cola type article). Once position is dislodged this can be unscrewed by hand. Take a note of the filter type and get the same replacement from Motor Factor(any) as the the Mondeo is so popular.
Replace drain plug bolt once oil has drained, then screw the new oil filter in place. Do not replace old. Smear some new engine oil around seal of oil filter so that it seals and seal is not dry. Screw tight by hand. Do not over tighten.
Buy 5 litres of diesel oil if its diesel add 15w40 oil if its a petrol engine. Use a funnel to add 4.3 litres of oil. No more as you will damage the catalytic converter. Re place oil filler cap and dip stick, turn ignition and run engine, to ensure no leaks from oil filter.
If a slight weap tighten filter by hand. If necessary hit filter at base with screw driver and hammer to ensure it tightens that extra bit more. But again do not overtighten.
Your next job is to replace spark plugs.... good luck.
