It's really complicated. A lot of flexible gymnasts do this in routines or maybe a sort of tecniqhue? It took me a full year to learn how but here's how you do it. This is the harder way, but there's another way but this is the harder way:
Step 1. I would consider putting on comfortable clothes like a t-shirt and shorts not jeans or a pretty shirt or something
Step 2. STRETCH!!!!! If you do not stretch, you could pull a muscle or even possibly break a leg! You will be in deep pain and a lot will go wrong so STRETCH!!!!!!
Step 3. Simply lie down on the ground on your stomach
Step 4. If possible, you will bring your legs slowly or fastly (optional) over your head.
Step 5. You will be resting your chin on the ground.
Step 6. An easy way to hold your shape is holding your legs. Take your arms and while your legs are on the ground, bring your arms AROUND your legs and hold them there.
TIPS:
Ask your mom or gymnastics/cheer coach for some easier advice on how to do this or even try asking a professional gymnast she will most likely know how
Have someone help you flip your legs over your head so that you won't have to use all of your muscle on your own
Do this on a soft floor
Practice practice practice! Don't think you can get it all in one day. I did, and I don't wanna continue about what happened to me.
This is the easy way of how to do it.
Step 1. See steps 1 and 2 above
Step 2. Try doing this from a bridge instead, considering that's the easy way and this will not take long if you know how to do a bridge.
WARNING ABOUT STEP 2. If you do not know how to do a bridge, than there is NO possible way that you can flip your legs over your head. If you know how to do a bridge, continue reading. If you don't, then why even bother reading this at all?
Step 3. Instead of trying to put your head through your legs on your hands, lower your hands to your elbows, and it will be easier to fit your head through
Step 4. SLOWLY bring your head through your legs. SLOWLY I tell you.
Also consider holding your legs to keep shape. If you have read this, then good luck trying to do this fun trick!
