Sprinting is a control option that lets you run faster, but uses stamina. The heaver the armor you are wearing the more stamina it will use up. To do it is depending on what device you are using to play the game. I know Xbox it is the left bumper, for that is what I play on. Other devices, I don't know about, but if they have a manual, it should show it. Otherwise just Google it.
