No.
When you download the latest version of iMovie to your Mac, it comes with previous versions. There is no possible way to update it. It is possible to get the latest iMovie in the iLife package or available for Purchase on the Mac App Store. Hope this helps.. :)
Imovie HD usually comes with mac computers. If not, you can try searching for it in the right upper hand corner where there is a magnifying glass. Click on it, and search for "imovie HD". If there is no Imovie HD, you may want to try to download it from other websites, since Apple removed the download for Imovie off their website.
Macs come with iMovie video editing software.

iMovie can be obtained legally from the Mac App Store by paying a fee of $14.99. This entitles you to download and install iMovie on OS X 10.7.4 and later. Users using preceding versions of OS X may have to venture to other sites, potentially illegal, to download iMovie. That information however cannot be disclosed by any reputable being.
You have to have a Mac, but if you have a Macbook, it comes with it. If you don't you may or may not be able to download it. If you can, you would find it on Apple.com.
Connect the camera to your Mac and run the iMovie program. iMovie should recognise your camera and you can then import your video.
iPhoto is part of the iLife suite of software supplied with Macs and is not available for other operating systems.
Apple only makes their software for Mac. Windows Movie Maker is an alternative option.
You can't. iMovie is only available for the Mac and is not available for Windows XP or any other version of Windows. DVD Slideshow Builder is a good substitution. Download it at: http://www.wondershare.com/pro/dvd-slideshow-builder-deluxe.html
The GZ-MG330 has been tested with iMovie 09 (See links below) and just needs to be connected to the Mac with the USB cable. Switch the camera on and select it's Playback on PC setting. Launch iMovie and import the video for editing and sharing.
