You can't do that. Wait... let me rephrase that. You can't do that unless you want your computer to freeze up. I didn't want to use the software and my computer froze up. It wouldn't let me plug in my camera and everytime I shut down my computer, I couldn't get back on. Save yourself A LOT of trouble and just use the software. Sure, it's not easier than just plugging in your USB cord but you can get your pictures a lot faster.
Yes, in fact if you are running XP you need no software to download pictures from a digital camera. Just connect the camera and XP take it from there.
Go on-line to the company that made the camera and download the software from them. You will need the exact model name and number of the camera to identify which download you need.
You should have received some camera software with you camera that allows you to make photo albums and make edits to pictures. If you did not receive software with your camera you can get adobe photoshop and download it to your computer. This will allow you to edit and add cool features to your photos.
The FujiFilm J12 can be connected to a Mac with the supplied USB cable. Either Fuji's own supplied software or the Mac's Image Capture or iPhoto software will be able to read the camera's JPEG picture files.
when you get the camera you will get a CD too. that is where you get your software!!

Check your recycle bin, and try recovery software. If you still have the photos on your camera, you can download them again.

To use the camera you need software too use it. If you search your computer you will probably find some crapware webcam photo taker. If not download some webcam software that can take pictures, like Google's Picassa.
