You need a memory stick inside a PSP to be able to download things.

you can download an app called memory stick for £1.19 which you can put on videos and Microsoft word documents and other stuff like that. then view them. An app called Briefcase also does this. (I think it does it wirelessly via bluetooth)
Im sure you could just get a friend to put it on his memory stick and after all you cant really download anything without the internet
You can not download more memory to an ipod.
If you don't have a memory card, you've got nothing to save the downloads onto. The PSP's own internal memory is only for system settings, and its own firmware.

yes you can play an xbox without a hard drive because the game console has its own memory but the memory is small so you will be ablwe to save your games but not be able to download or store music of the xbox without a hard drive
