I don't think so... because I know how to download the whole maplestory file at once and doesn't even have to go online and make a new one. So I guess it is fine if you just download the whole maplestory. But it would rweally suck if you have to go online to download a new one every time when there's a new patch going on.
Yes, you can download Maplestory officially from the website. The Maplestory you have to download depends on the region you live in.
Most online games will update themselves to the latest patch version everytime the game is loaded up. In the case that it doesn't, the page where you first downloaded MapleStory should have the newest patch, upgrade, or version available for manual download and installation. So, simply turn on the game, or if that doesn't work, go to the web page where you downloaded it before.
This is a common error that occurs when loading up Maplestory. To fix, you can download patch 1.2 that was released on February 13th 2013. This is supposed to resolve all issues relating to error 40.
i am pretty sure you can download maplestory on any kind of computer

u open the stup do the setup again then click repair ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ LOL No. You use the manual patch, and wait. It will almost definitely be stuck at Creating:Base.wz If it doesn't patch in a few moments, get out of it, and re-download the new client.
