The best way to drain the system is to suck out the fuel using an electric pump, remove the fuel hose from the filter attach the pump to the fuel line, draw out all the fuel into a suitable container. Re attach the fuel line to the filter. Replace the fuel filter, refil the fuel tank,bleed the system. Unless it is a very modern car you should now have cured the problem. On very modern cars damage to the injector pump will occur if contaminated fuel has been used. Dispose of the contaminated fuel in a enviromentally friendly manner, If in the UK your local council recycling centre will help with this.
