pull the plug on the bottom of the axle
or remove the cover if there ins't a drain plug.
To change the rear axle fluid you can remove the rear cover from the axle and drain it that way. If you don't want to remove the rear cover you can use a pump and a hose to drain it through the fill hole.
Remove rear axle cover, oil will drain out, reseal and install cover, fill fluid.Remove rear axle cover, oil will drain out, reseal and install cover, fill fluid.
The fill plug is on the rear cover of the differential. Remove the rear cover to drain the fluid.
That might be the rear axle, it that is what you want to remove then you will need to remove the rear axle cover drain the fluid and the locate the center pin bolt and remove that in order to remove the center pin to get at axle c-clips then remove the c-clip for the axle you want to remove then slipe the axle out being careful not to distrub the axle bearing
there is 2 different ways to change the fluid this is a drain plug on the front of the rear diff or you can take the back of the pumpkin off on the rear diff.
It's the oil/fluid that is in the rear drive axle (and front axle on 4x4).
If there is not a drain plug on the bottom of the differential then you will have to remove the cover. Be sure that you service it with the proper fluid and positraction additive if it is a positraction differential.
oil for what rear axle ,ayc unit, gearbox, transfer box ,front diff or engineo or the brake fluid
synthetic gear oil
Axle grease is used for the axle bearings that support the axle shafts. Rear end fluid also known as gear oil which is used in the rear differential to lube the ring and pinion gears.
When you see rear differential fluid on your rear brakes & assembly.
The rear drive axle takes 5.5 (pts.) to fill.
