With motor warm and the bike upright and level, unscrew the drain plug located directly under the center of the transmission end cover (where the clutch cable goes into the transmission) and drain the oil into a suitable container.

The drain plug isn't like a car's plug, it's a small screw that goes into the side of the end cover, not up from the bottom.
