It is easy if you to farm for DNA points for a bit, before you move onto the next stage in your creations evolution. This stratagy is what you shoud use on most difficulties:
1st stage ___ best to be an omnivore for the, so you could quickly evolve.
2nd stage ___ make freinds with not-so hostile conervores/omnivores for 2nd stage (conivore/omnivore/herbervore doesn't matter, choose freely but wisely)
3rd & 4th stage ___ trade as much as possible to "lessen threats" on you, but ... that's optional >:-) *insert evil laugh*
And that's how easy Spore can be in a nut shell! :-)
