to electroplate a metal you first have to make a bath of electrolyte and put the metals for plating in this bath then get a + electrical current to pass through one and - through the other the molecules of the electrolyte will be attracted to the metal depending on there charge do this with a 9 volt battery 2 forks water and some salt and bubbles of hydrogen and chlorine will come from the electrodes (forks)
