In Firefox:
Click on Tools>>Options>>Content Tab>>Enable Java Script and click OK
In internet Explorer:
Click on Tools>>Internet Options>>Security tab>>Select Internet Zone
Then select Custom Level
Under Micellaneous section there is an option "Allow Scripting of Microsoft Web browser Control"
Enable that option
Then click OK button

tick the Java box
To verify Java is installed in console type
$ java -version (that will display the current java version installed)
or
type in firefox the address :about:plugins
that will show u something like this:
