This is the way I do it in school. Step One: Hook up low and hide side,( gauge), ports to air condition system. Step Two: Hook up yellow hose from gauge to micronmeter, on one side and open gauges. Step Three: On the other side of the micronmeter, connect a black hose. Step Four: The other side of the black hose,( not the side connected to the micronmeter), should be hooked up to a vacuum pump. Make sure the pump has oil in it too. Step five: Wait for it to be pulled into a vacuum, you'll know it's evacuated when it reads 500 microns on the micron gauge. This might take a while so be patient.
