Explain RAM? Explain RAM?

Top of the line computers have either 3 or 4 gigabytes of RAM.
Acer Aspire 1410-8414 comes with 2 gigs. it is sold at low prices.
I was able to install 1.5 gigs of ram. I tried to upgrade to 2 gigs, but the computer would not recognize it.

Not really. 32-bit Vs. 64 bit is more of a ram limitation more than anything. With 32 bit, your limited to 3 gigs of ram, with 64 bit, you can use an indefinite amount of ram. I have seen 64 bit servers capable of 52 gigs of ram.
Desktops support up to 4gb Ram per slot. Many personal desktops support 4-6 slots. So 24 Gigs would be the highest amount of ram for a high end personal desktop
4 gigs of RAM can usually run games at a decent quality, 16 gigs is insanity. so, yes. also that brand has excellent ratings as well.
6 gigs of ddr2 is probably better, although it depends what it is being used for. ddr3 is faster but the ddr2 obviously stores more info. also, ddr3 should be installed in multiples of 3gb (3,6,9,12,gb) spread out on either 3 or 6 sticks or RAM
All RAM is, is to allow more things to run in the background at once. The more RAM you have the more things can be running at the sam time on your MacBook.
It depends if you are talking about RAM or HD space. 4 gigs ram would be a good start. The game itself only takes up a few hundred megabytes on the HD but can grow to a few gigs of space with many larger world/maps. My server folder alone with all my different multiplayer maps is almost 4 gigs.
if by GIBs you mean GIGs 1 GIG = 1024 MegaBytes im Assuming 2048 is in Megabytes so 2048/1024 = 2 2 GIGS = 2048 Megs
