For Outlook 2007:

  1. From the File menu, select Import Export.
  2. In the Import and Export Wizard, select Export to a file and click Next.
  3. In the window "Create a file of type:" select Microsoft Excel 97-2003 and click Next.
  4. In the window "Select folder to export from:" find and click on Contacts, then click Next.
  5. In the window "Save exported file as:" type a file name or browse to a location, then click Next. (Make sure you pay attention to where you save the file, because you will need to find it later.)
  6. In the window "The following actions will be performed:" either go to Map Custom Fields (follow directions) or click Finish.
  7. Find where you saved the file (if you can not find the file, search for it or start over -- this time pay attention to where you saved the file).
  8. Open the file in Excel.

Can you open Excel or word on a mac without having ms office?

Only if you have an application on your MAC that is compatible with Excel and Word files. Most word processor programs have a way to import MS Word files and most spreadsheet programs can open MS Excel files. The best way to find out if your MAC has that capability is to try to open a file and see what happens.

How do you insert an audacity file into a prezi?

You need to convert the files to .flv or .swf files before inserting them. In audacity, if you just save a file, it saves as a .aup file. You can open these files only with Audacity. You can, however, export the file as a different format by going to the File menu and clicking Export. Next, you will have to find either an online conversion website or download a software, such as RealPlayer converter, and convert the file to a .flv or .swf file.

You can't edit iPod movies on a PC. No available PC software can export movies from a video editing software into an iPod compatible format. iMovie, only available for a Mac, is recommended with editing iPod movies, since iMovie is compatible with the .m4v file and can export the file back to a .m4v after editing is done. .m4v files are the iPod compatible files.

Can a file with a csv extension can ONLY be used by Excel?

CSV is a Comma Separated Variable file. These are simple text files with data in lines and text separated by commas. They are used as ways of storing data so it can be imported from one application to another. A CSV file could be created in Excel and then opened in a database such as Access. Each line would be a record and where each comma would be it would start a new field. Coming from Excel, each comma would have been created from the division of each cell, so data could be taken from Access, put into a CSV format and transferred to Excel and many applications. So CSV files are not limited to Excel.
