You can't export videos from Windows Movie Maker into .mp3 format. You need an Audio Converter to do that.
During the Publishing/Finishing process Windows Movie Maker automatically converts audio into .wma files. It does not allow you to choose any other audio format.
Google: Free Audio Converters and download one online. Install the converter and follow the instructions for conversion. In your case, you want to make sure the Output Source Formatselected is .mp3.
