You need to find out why the light is on before trying to reset it. Have your local auto parts store read the code(s) and determine what is wrong. They will do this at no charge to you.
Ever find out what it was? I'm having the same issues. My engine light is on as well now. I was backing from a steep hill and the reverse just gave out.
from what i have read and can find out it is catalyst system below threshold bank 2.it is a catalytic converter problem some say it could be an oxygen sensor. i have the same code on my expedition.i haven't figured out if it's the converter yet
In the passenger compartment you find the filter in the bottom of the "heater box". slide the lock of the lid aside and remove the lid. then you just pull out the old filter, put in the new and replace the lid.
