I replaced the crank position sensor in my 90 Lumina 3.1L! It was on the back side of the motor and with a little patience I was able to R & R!! I went from the bottom of the engine between the block and transmission! I didn't have to removed any splash guards or other items just needed patience
ANSWER......... It's in a hard to find place; got it from under the car, its in between the oil pan and the trany. At the top of the oil pan in the block on a downward angle. There are two other thinges in the block just above it to the right. (looking from under the car)
