You have air in the fuel system you have to bleed it or spray starting fluid to force start ti and the system will eventually bleed it self after a minute. If this do not work then check your fuel pump strainer filter if is dirty and clogged then chances are your injectors are clogged as well, you will need to take it to a shop to get them clean, they will clean it by plugging a hose to your injection rail pipes on your manifold and high pressure the system to get that junk out of your injectors the burn it after the vehicle start...it is an alfa romeo and it is a good car but sometimes they get upset when we don take care of them XD

The usual reason either the hydraulic pump on the Selespeed gearbox or the actuators - both need Alfa specialist care and rarely solve the problem fully or for very long.
The fuel pump will be somewhere in the fuel line. By tracing that line, you can find the pump. Note that some pumps are actually located inside the fuel tank, so if you don't find the pump somewhere in the fuel line, it's probably in the tank.
