Press F1 to start the Help system. In the Search box, type the command you want help for and you can get it that way. For a function, it can be done when using the Insert Function facility, where you can find functions and get help on them.
You can use the find command of the FIND function.

Microsoft Excel has a help function built into it that will search through a pre-installed FAQ to help find an answer. If you cannot find an answer there Microsoft support can answer any question you have.

You find training online for Microsoft Excel macros through Microsoft by searching their help sections. You can also find help that you may find easier to use by looking for tips from various experts on the Internet.

Try looking at SEARCH or INDEX in the help file.
Go to the Help menu and look at the About option which will tell you. The version of Excel you have is linked to the version of Office you have. If you know what version of Office you have, then you know what version of Excel you have.
