I wrote these out in steps .
1) unlock your iphone
2) on the main homescreen tap settings
3)In settings scroll down until you see general and tap it
4) Once in general settings tap about ( should be the very first thing on the list)
5) In the about section it will tell you how many songs, videos, photos, and applications you have. The secction that says capacity shows how much gb your device came with (ie. 16 or 32) the section that says available is how many gb is still left free on your ipad.
Hook your iPad up to your computer. iTunes should open, and a sync will begin. (if not, click file > sync.) after it finishes syncing, click your iPad under 'devices' in iTunes. At the bottom will be a memory bar, which will tell you how much space is taken, and how much you have left.
The first paragraph tells you how to find the storage spaces in an iPad. There is an easier way: on your ipad, go to Settings -->General-->Usage. Then you can see the total usage and the usage of each app.
However, if you want to know the "memory", but not the storage, that's another story. It takes a little bit more process. You can go to app store to download a iphone version software on your ipad called "Battery Doctor". Then you can check the instant memory usage and free some memory. That app can also help you to maintain a good battery use and charge habbit.
Connect your iPad to your Computer with iTunes and they will be a bar showing how much space you have left.
For ios5 devices go to Settings > General > Usage. Here you can see the available storage space as well as consumed.
Every service provider has a different method for tracking your data usage. You should log on to the website of your provider to find out how they do it.

or plug it in to a computer and check on itunes

"iPad" is a noun. You can tell it is a noun because it names a thing (I have an iPad), not an action (We iPadded the other day), a descriptive word (That shirt is so iPad on you), etc.
Samsung don't make the iPad. Nor do Apple but they market it as their product.

Here you can see how much of the memory is being used by all applications. As to an individual application you can go online and find out how much memory is required for that particular application.

It depends on how much memory the app requires but as long as you have a few spare Gb's then you should get an app or two running. The app description will tell you how much resources it needs before you download it.
