In the King James Bible, just like every other version of the Scriptures written, there are 66 books, starting with Genesis and ending with Revelation. The easiest way to find a scripture you're looking for is to turn to the very beginning of the book. Almost every Bible contains a list of the books in order and which page they start on. If you find the book you're looking for, then it's just a matter of finding the chapter, which is typically labeled in fairly large numbers (remember that all books of The Bible have a different number of chapters), and then finding the verse, which are labeled in smaller numbers along side the text.

For example:

Psalm 23A psalm of David.

1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,3 he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name's sake.

This is what a usual Bible looks like. It's quite simple to find books in any Bible, actually. And if you're feeling like you don't want to have to look at the glossary every time you need to look something up, you can have a little fun. Plenty of people have put the books of the Bible to song, which make them really easy to remember

Answer:

Speaking bluntly: once you open the book and look inside... you've quickly found the scriptures.

But, if you're looking for "specific" scriptures, a concordance is a must, as long as you know a word or two from the scripture you seek. Although this may take awhile as you wade chronologically through each instance of the "search word" chosen, beginning with Genesis. This can prove to be not so "quick"... although you should eventually find the scripture you want.

But, if you look for scriptures a lot -- familiarity with the Bible is your best bet. This takes time. A deep, prayerful, spiritually discerning study of the scriptures. "Continuing" in the Word of God [John 8:31] in the proper spirit or "attitude" toward them produces both familiarity and a confidence in knowing where many scriptures are.

With such a familiarity with the scriptures... you will discover that you remember "what book" in the Bible you may have seen the scripture you seek; whereby the concordance will speed you to it that much quicker.

Not to mention, that some scriptures you won't have to FIND... but KNOW where they are.

Another source in these last days is the "Internet." A few brief keystrokes of the scripture you want in a search engine can yield a number of possiblilities, quickly, also -- and, often, the EXACT location.

What is the difference between the Hebrew Bible and the king James Bible?

The Hebrew Bible is another name for what Christians often call the "Old Testament." Jews do not tend to call their bible the "Old Testament", since this name implies that their bible is "old" or that it was replaced by the New Testament. Jewish people do respect the Christian scriptures but do not regard the New Testament as sacred to Judaism, so a Bible for Jews would only contains the Old Testament. Since they do not have any other Testaments, many Jews call their scriptures the Hebrew Bible or the Tanakh (the Hebrew abbreviation for these scriptures). As for the King James Bible, it is a popular Christian translation, from the Protestant tradition-- it contains both the Old Testament and the New Testament. You will note that the King James translation of the Old Testament puts the books in a different order from how the Hebrew Bible has them, and some older versions of King James translate certain verses somewhat differently, in an effort to "prove" that Jesus was predicted in the Hebrew scriptures (Jews do not believe he was). But in general, the main difference is the King James Bible contains both the Hebrew Scriptures and the New Testament, while a Hebrew Bible contains the approved Jewish scriptures only, usually translated from the Hebrew by the Jewish Publication Society or another authorized Jewish organization.
