all you have to do is find sunset sassperilla bottles and drink them and after some of the bottles you drink it will either have normal bottle caps or sunset sassperilla blue star caps if you collect enough of these you can take them to the sunset sassperilla facility and talk to the robot cowboy and he should update you on how you are doing and when you collet enough you get a big prize. Watch out for people pretending to have been attacked by people wanting the special caps because there trying to trick you as soon as the person has finish talking to you kill him and get the special caps (this only starts after you started to collect them for the robot cowboy)
you find them scattered everywhere in the Mojave wasteland. Some are actually hidden in places but they are easy to find.
In my opinion Fallout New Vegas is. In Fallout NV it is easier to make caps so you can buy better wepons and ammo. In Fallout 3 It's hard to make a lot of caps in the begining making it a slow start. But is you want to test your skills play Fallout 3.
You can kill people and steal their stuff, and sell them. :)
You need 50 Sarsaparilla Star Caps to proceed to the next part of the quest.
you should come to a gate with some sucuritrons and you have to pass a credit check of 2,000 caps or have a passport which you can get from the kings by doing all of their quests.
Firstly you only need 50 blue star bottle caps and once you complete the quest you can find a room with a unique laser pistol called "Pew Pew", though strong it only fires 2 shots before you have to reload.
There is no one specific place that has a total of 1 million caps but if you play it long enough and trade enough I'm sure eventually you COULD reach one million caps if the game permits you to do so.
Each casino has an exchange counter where caps, NCR dollars or Legion Aureus can be exchanged for chips, and likewise chips can be cashed in too.
bottle caps
This is a long quest but a Good story. You will need 50 Sunset Sarsaparilla star bottle caps before he gives you the Prize. These can be found in many locations, aswell as a few being won from Festus in the game 'Lucky Horseshoes' which can be activated Via Speech with him
If you have the PC version of Fallout New Vegas you can probably do it with a console command.Petro-Chico Jumpsuit 000fd771Hit the ~ key below the esc key. type player.additem followed by the item code and a value. For example the jumpsuit would be:player.additem 000fd771 1If you wanted 50,000 caps it would be:player.additem 000000f 50000Everything in fallout new Vegas has an item code. Most can be found online. However, be aware that using console commands disables the ability to unlock achievements via Steam.
You can sell your stuff. Or you can kill people to get it. :)
Take the NCR or any other non-cap currency to any casino in New Vegas, trade it all for chips, and finally trade the chips back for caps. You loose no value with this method, as opposed to selling the currency to a shop.
