-Wait until your fuel meter is exactly on one of the white markings.
-Write down the current odometer reading.
-Find out how many gallons your tank holds (lets say 10 gallons).
-Drive around like you normally would, watching the fuel meter.
-When it has gone down exactly 1/4 of the way (indicated by the number of white marks, if there are 8 marks, wait until it has gone down two marks) write down the current odometer reading.
-Subtract the first reading from the second reading.
-Since the tank holds 10 gallons, 10/4 is 2.5, so in this time, you used 2.5 gallons of gas. But we're trying to find out how far you went on one gallon.
-So divide the result of subtracting the two reading by 2.5
-Divide this result by 2.5 and you should have your MPG!
THE NORMAL IS 21 MPG
MPG stand for Miles Per Gallon, it tells you the average of how many miles you can go with a gallon of gasoline
Around 28 to 34 mpg
that kinda depends on what you've done with the car. but usually you get somewhere from 8 to 14 mpg
This all depends upon how many miles to the gallon your car engine achieves. The distance is about 2,050 miles, so once you figure out your car's MPG, divide that into the total miles for the average amount of fuel you will need for the trip. For instance, if your car managed 25 MPG, the fuel used would be 82 gallons. If your car only achieved 17 MPG, the fuel used would be 120 gallons. The amount of fuel needed is relative to your average miles per gallon for a particular car/engine. To find your car's average MPG, write down the odometer reading when you fill the tank. At the next full fill-up, again write down the odometer reading. Find the difference between those two odometer readings (total miles driven) and divide the number of gallons bought into that number ... this will be your average MPG for that tank of gas.
This varies by race car by race car. The mpg spends on the kind of track, weather conditions, tyres, and how long the race is. Some race cars are designed for high mpg. Example is that a F1 car would do around 3-4 mpg whereas some can do as much as 60 but for oblivious reasons. The average mpg usually around 3-6 MPG.
Depends on the type car. Some cars would get close to 20-24 mpg and larger cars would get less. About 16 mpg was average.
The average Chevy mpg for a SUV is about 13 mpg with the Suburban and Tahoe. The Traverse gets about 22 mpg. The Equinox gets about 24 mpg. Most rarely will you ever get close to 30 mpg. Though hybrids are coming out for the larger SUVs, yet they are hard to find.
My 1991 cadillac fleetwood gets 17.5 to 18 mpg on average. Atleast that's what my car tells me it's getting.
Doesn't that rather depend on your "average car" mpg? At 34 mpg it would use 25 gallons at a cost of 25 x 3.75...
That depends what the cost of your fuel is. Let's say gasoline is $3.00/gallon then one would be paying an average of $.12 per mile if your car gets 25 mpg
25-26mpg gasolene, 35-40 diesel
