Pressing Ctrl-End will bring you to the cell that is in the last row with data and last column with data. This cell may not necessarily have data in it. It does let you know that there is no data in any rows below that cell or in any columns to the right of that cell. So if you had something in G16 as the last row and something in M9 as the last column then pressing Ctrl-End would bring you to cell M16. Pressing F5 and then picking Special also gives you an option to go to the last cell.
There is no feature in Excel that will identify when an individual cell was last updated.

In Excel 2007, I got XFD1048576. In Excel 2003, I got IV65536. In Excel 2002, I got IV65536. NOTE: You can open MS Excel, click a cell, then press Ctrl + Right arrow, Ctrl + Down arrow to get the result.
XFD1 is the cell reference at the end of the first row in Excel. Column XFD is the 16384th column.
That will depend on your version. Up to version 2003 it was IV65536. In Excel 2007 and later versions it is XFD1048576.

IZ10 would be an invalid address in version 2003 of Excel and earlier versions. The last column in Excel 2003 is column IV, so there is no column IZ. In versions from Excel 2007 onwards, IZ10 would be a valid cell address.

Column IV is not the last column in Excel 2007, as it was in Excel 2003. In Excel 2003 the last column is IV which is column 256. In Excel 2007 the last column is XFD, which is column 16384.

Click on the extreme upper, left hand cell, the whole sheet is selected. That way U also select, whichever cells that are filled.
