The silver medal is under the right side of the bridge-like structure at 1516 AD (Leonardo's time).
Go to Leonardo da vinci's workshop (4 o'clock, 1516 AD) and go to the wooden frame at top right. When you jump up on the step with the ropes attached, the other step moves down. Jump over to that step, and it moves a small platform into the hole between the sides of the framework. Now you can jump down to that little platform, and jump hard to the right to reach the medal. It goes to Lewis and Clark (8 o'clock 1805 AD).
* You can reach the medal more easily if you first recover Da Vinci's notebook (jump to the ledge from the top left of the scaffolds at the Statue of Liberty, 10 o'clock, 1882 AD). Leonardo will give you his glider wings.
