Hi, The easiest way I found on my '97 and when I went to the junk yards I found it the easiest on earlier models too, was to remove the instrument panel assy, very carefully as the speedo cable is attached to it and the plugs for the instrument panel are atteched to the top of the panel. Care is needed as you don't want to short the flexible circuit board on the back. The lights are right as well as those circuits and their wiring is what you will have unplugged. The wiring for the radio and heater/fan lights are behind those and you need to remove the bezels and the ashtray and lighter. When you have those items removed, the wiring is behind those items. The hardest thing about the removal of the instrument cluster is replacing the speedo cable and getting the panel wiring plugged back in all at the same time. It's not easy so I wish you luck and patience and I hope this helps, if it doesn't or more help is neede please ask more. Thanks, Steve
The radio wiring schematics for a 1996 Geo Tracker can be found from the service manual. This service manual is available from the manufacturer upon request.
Try parking/tailight fuse

Fuse should be marked and also control parking and tail lights
Adjust steering wheel outward and down to access the dashboard easier. Then with a special removal tool reach behind the side and back. Slowly lift out. The lights are located directly in back of dashboard. Replace them with new lights and return dashboard.
I own a 1997 Isuzu Rodeo and had the same problem. I went to a local Isuzu new-car dealer and was quoted a price in excess of $100 to replace the burned-out dashboard lights. I was told that the cost is high because the top of the dashboard has to be removed in order to obtain access to the lights. I did not have the lights replaced. carlpers
There is a faulty fuse that goes to the interior lights. There could also be a short in the wiring that leads to the lights.
HI, The "Power" light means that the power mode switch and been presed to have more power available, to turn the light off just press the switch to return it to "Normal". Steve H.
There are several things that can cause your 1996 Nissan dashboard lights to flicker. The most common cause is a bad ground wire. Check the ground wire to make sure it is tight and free of corrosion.
you have to pull the entire speedometer cluster on the back of it you will see little lights turn them until they come out and replace them with new ones
The rheostat on the headlight switch is bad.
