Left=click on your 'My Computer' icon on the desk-top, and it'll show the devices attached (usually just shows the internal disk-drives)

Well you can't do this directly from your i-pod. First you have to plug your i-pod into your computer and open i-tunes. Then you go to i-pod device (which should show a picture of your i-pod) and then somewhere in there should be a category with notes. =P
