How do you find your name on a veterans list. i cant remember how long i was in the army but im sure it will be close to the questionable time limit i received a general discharge?

Your time in service will be listed on your DD214. It might require some math, as I believe your enlistment date and discharge date are all that appear there. Look at the top of the record.

It depends on what type of Governmental help you are referring to and whether the Marine has received an honorable discharge in the past, previous to his Dishonorable Discharge.
