A hose could be pulled off, or broken, or split, or removed by a mechanic and never put back on. The pressure sender could be broken and never signalling the ECU. The solenoid could be broken and never performing the EVAP purge. Any of the wires to the solenoid or the sensor could be broken, shorted, or unhooked. they make a smoke tester to find small leaks in evap system most dealers have them cost about$100 to diag hope this helps
Every once in a while it will fix your evap leak if you replace the fuel cap, but usually the leak is somewhere else. A good repair facillity will have a smoke machine that can be used to fill the system with smoke and locate the leak by seeing where the smoke comes out.
well a p0138 is an o2 sensor problem and as for the P0455 the evap system has a very large leak over 40 microns and it may need a fuel cap the P0442 and the P0455 usually go together one is the cause of another
Most likely it means your gas cap is loose... or whats called an evap system leak.
You will have to take your car to a garage to get your EVAP system leak tested. Then replace the defective line.
