Replace the bulb
They have to see what is causing this problem. And they will try to fix it.
It could be caused by a bad modulater, plug screen or it needs a overhaul
You need to either wire a jumper to a tail light or use an ice cube relay and wire it to the switch side of it with the trigger being the headlight switch and the bulb should go to ground on the other side
got a sti jap import the abs light is on what do i look for to sort it
My wrx 1995 stopped working because of the carbon brush on the rear of the wheel. fitted after market neon horn swith to dash to get round it.
It depends on what is wrong with it, a minor problem could run as little as 100 dollars while a transmission replacement will run a good 2500-3000 dollars.
I had the same problem in my 1995, i took it to the dealer and they fixed it. I think it was a very simple fix, but it was many years ago.
Bulbs burned out? Dimming rheostat is open? Bad headlight switch? Make sure parking and tailights are working (same circuit)
The problem is the reverse light switch. It is located on the top of the transmission that should sloved your problem.
the reverse light switch is either out of adjustment. or broken. new one should be fairly cheap
I believe I had this same problem with my 97 Impreza. It is probably because the stop light switch went bad. It's a pretty cheap fix if you can do it yourself (I think the new switch was $7 at Auto-Zone) and it's a pretty easy fix, however the switch is at an awkward place to get at. If you google how to replace it, you'll probably get a better explanation than I can give, but that should fix it for you.
If the reverse light compartment of your Ford Focus keeps filling with water, you most likely have a seal that is dry rotted or damaged. Remove the light and replace the rubber seal gasket around the light to fix this issue.
