well, you gotta take everything front the rear seal on back off. so you take the driveshaft off, take the tranny off, and take the flywheel off. once you've gotten all that off its a piece of cake. just take the old one off and pop the new one on. put everything back together and there you have it, a new rear main seal. over the next few days monitor the car and check for leaks. if nothing happens then you've successfully done it.
i gotta warn you, its not something that is easily dont with jacks/jack stands out in the driveway. you really need a lift for this sort of repair.

rear main seal is the gasket around the crank between the rear of the motor and the transmission. front and rear main seals are usual spots for oil leaks.
