My crafsman trackors will not go into gear. To me it look like some king of pin came out the prat like is part of a lever for the transmision.
You can't shift gears on an automatic transmission because, as it is called, it's automatic! You don't need to shift, it does it for you. == == Maybe the question should be "Why is my automatic transmission not shifting through gears for me as it should?" Could it be a fairly simlpe fix or am I losing my transmission? Yeah Dopey!
The solenoid electrical sensor is responsible for allowing a shift in gears. The sensor in a Jetta VR6 can be fixed by a dealer mechanic.
Bottle of Lucas transmission Fix, if that doesn't work, rebuild transmission
jammed...more specefic there bud will it not shift maybe your shift shaft or shift forks are bent. my best bet would be is split the cases or take it to a shop...how long have u had the bike for or how many miles it may be due for a bottom end anyway
Fix the drive belt.
replace your pressure plate (diaphragm type), and the clutch. replace your pressure plate (diaphragm type), and the clutch.
There are multiple things that could cause this problem, but if everything else seems to work fine, a good place to check would be the transmission and the shifter. Gears in the transmission could be blown and may not catch when you try to shift.
After you get all the required gears you can go up to it and fix it. There's no way to explain how to fix it as arrange the gears in words, so I would recommend looking it up on you tube!
If it chatters when you start up I would be concerned. If some of the gears do not work, the clutch may be the problem. If the pedal is too low to the floor or gears strip or grind when you shift, it may only need adjusting.Fortunately, compared to automatic transmission, clutches are cheap to fix.
I'm not sure how your gears are out but, on my truck with a 5spd manual transmission I had a problem where it became progressively more difficult to shift into 4th, then 3rd became a problem. I started dismantling the shifter and there was a plastic bushing at the base of the shift lever that had completely disintegrated. Couple dollars for the part at the dealership and it was shifting good as new.
try finding out whats wrong with it 1st
Nope, it just means the transmission takes a little longer to shift. or it means the clutch is a little slow. either way, not a problem unless you want to fix it.
