The door switch is faulty.
Is this condition only present when driving . If so it sounds like you have a faulty door switch .
I suspect a faulty door jamb switch; remove yours and test for power at the switch. Start with the drivers door. This could also be a faulty acc relay. with the driver's door open, press and release the door jamb switch, do you hear a little click noise from under the dash? if not, you may need to replace your relay
I would think you have a faulty door jamb switch. The drivers door is used the most so I would replace that switch first. I hope this helps you. Mark
If the switch is concealed in the door latch--(common problem) Spray door latch liberally with WD40 open and close door many times--then spray with silicone should solve problem If not in door latch- could be faulty light switch or wire grounding somewhere in door switch remove, replace and check wiring
The door switch for the interior lights is faulty.
I have a 91 Celica ST and it does the same exact thing,I haven't went in to it to fix but I would assume where ever the switch when your door opens is faulty.
