Make an appontment with your vet straight away to get checked out. Note: Try to make the appointmen on the same day, I.E straight away.

Hope that helps! x

Brought my guinea pig to vet, he made the poor fella way worse, if he had'nt got a broken leg when i went in, it was in bits by the time the vet had finished, he could'nt do anything for him, but applied so much pressure to the leg, that the whole leg was hanging when he finished, his foot was only slightly turned outwards when I brought him in! My advice is STAY AWAY FROM VETS

You give it time. Put it in a splint type thing, or take it to the vet, and give it time to heal. That's all I can say. Primary Advice: Take it to a vet. I don't want to be responsible for your Guinea Pig's leg to heal twisted or sideways.

DO NOT TRY TO PUT A SPLINT ON THE LEG.

You need to take the little guy to a vet as soon as possible do not try anything your self, if you try to heal the injury on your own you could make the broken bone worse and cause it to reform in the wrong position causing the guinea pigs leg to become usless. I wish you and your piggy well good luck. ;)

you should not try to heal your pig yourself.

Depends what's wrong with it. If it's a cut/flesh wound then you need to wrap it up tightly (but not too tight) and possibly apply anti-septic cream if you think it may become infected. Give it plently of fresh fruit/veg while it's healing. It may need to be put on its own in a smaller enclosure. If the bone is broken or it's a really deep wound, then you need to go and see the vet asap.

You should take your guinea pig to the vet immediately. It is important that you get proper medical care for your pet. A vet will check over the guinea pig for other injuries, and will most likely realign the bones and bandage the leg so that it can heal properly. The vet can also give your guinea pig some pain medication. When guinea pigs are in pain they can often stop eating and die very quickly, so it is important in both the short term and the long term to get this injury treated.

Well my little sister accidentally droped my piggy from her sholder and it wasen't till last night i had noticed that he wasen't walking on his right back foot so i took him to the vet to day and they said

"The best thing to do is separate it from any other Guinea Pigs you might have and in a smaller environment just so there is enough space for him/her to have a little walk and enough space for him/her's food, water and bed and to keep them in there for at least 1month and it should hell it's self but if still no change take it back to your vet and they will see what they can do to fix it"......

Take the animal to the vet and have it looked at. If possible the vet will treat it, if not it is hard to say what they will do.
