First you have to diagnose first what is the cause of the heater problem. It could probably the hose, the heater core itself or the thermostat. Here some ideas that might help you.

  1. If there's an anti-freeze leaking which you can notice on the floor board, it could be a faulty heater core. Replacement of the heater core is then the solution to that. For short-term solution you can have a radiator stop leak additive to see if it will patch the hole or you can cut off the flow of anti-freeze to the heater core all together.
  2. For the heater hoses(since there are two), usually the problem would be blockage. I apologize, but I will just let my mechanic take care of that part.
  3. Another cause of a heater that is not heating properly which is commonly caused by a faulty thermostat. Replacement of it is one solution but make sure to find the correct heat range which is recommended by the manufacturer.
