These engines are notorious for it.
There's no harm in the lifter tick itself. It just sounds bad.
The fix permanently, replace the lifters. There's a special tool (find it on eBay for cheap) which makes this an easy job.
Sounds like a sticky lifter ...........

One of sensors (I don't remember which one) ticks when it operates. Many Eclipse users have the same "problem". As far as the sensor does not throw any codes or causes the engine to run rough there is nothing to worry about. If the tick is bothering you, you will have to replace the sensor to fix it.
A tick in a lifter is likely caused by poor fuel. Using a higher octane fuel will often stop the knocking or ticking.

If the valves are ticking they are likely damaged. If what you hear is lifter tap, then it is due to poor design from the factory or you need an oil change. Lifters from a 3g Eclipse (00+) fix this problem.

Need to readajust the lifters again first. That will fix it. the lifters are none adjutabil neather are the rocker arms the push rod is new and so is the lifter
